Lose belts

Ok so im new to the xcarve pick one up used well i carved about 6 signs now when i carve it seem to jump and carve over a spot already done noticed the belts might be lose i can grab the belt and lift it about an inch could this be the issue how tight should the belts be

As far as how to do it, the fish/luggage scale method is probably the most accurate…

Make sure you also check and if needed adjust the vwheels as shown in the manual as well.

If you pull up on your belt in the center you want about 1" of slack. To tight will break your belt.
Like Seth mentioned about check you V wheel eccentric nuts and make sure the V wheels are tight.
Not to tight you should still be able to spin them with two fingers.

Can you wiggle your router? Up and down or side to side?

Out of curiosity i just went and measured the slack i can lift it almost 2 and half inches it lays slacked
