Maintain fixed spacing between objects

Is there any way to maintain spacing between two or more objects as you resize them?

Specifically, I have two rectangles, one inside the other. I need to make multiple sizes of these two rectangles but always have them spaced apart the same fixed distance. I want the distance between the two rectangles to maintain that 3.5" when I resize the two objects regardless of the size of the rectangles.

Currently when I resize both rectangles they maintain the ratio between each other so making both smaller means the 3.5" between them gets smaller. So I’m forced to resize them one at a time

Anyone know of a solution? Thank you in advance!

Sure, you’d have to use the offsetter v2 tool… click the Lego to get to the tools :+1::+1:

Thank you! Definitely an improvement over what I’ve been doing, but not exactly what I’m looking for.

Is there any way to maintain a static spacing as you resize an image?
