How do I know this is working and not frozen?
The linked Myminifactory site can only import files up to about 200mb.
If your original file is larger then it won’t import.
I suggest blender or meshlab for this larger files. In blender the process to reduce the file size is called Decimate if the helps find tutorials on the process…
