my Z touch pad does not work right when i use it the bit goes right though the wood and into my table please help
Is this within Easel? If so you may need to configure easel to know what the thickness of your Z probe is.
To do this go to Machine>Edit Machine and at the lower left there is a button for configuring the Z probe where you are able to enter a custom thickness.
Depending on the machine being used, you may also have an issue with the Z axis lifting too high after probing and then loosing the position and then when the carve begins, plunging too deep. If you’ve got limit switches and they are setup properly, an alarm should occur rather than topping out and loosing steps, but if the limits are not installed or not setup right than this is something to consider as a cause…
