Need reccomendations for a X-carved dwood dust show for the standard "quiet" spindle

Lots of ideas for 3D printing, lots of ideas for Dewalt spindle, but few designs for the standard quiet spindle.

Any suggestions for a good one we can carve with Easel?

I’ve thought about putting one together for the projects section of Inventables, but just doing a quick search of the Projects area there are a few that come up already if you’d like to take a look at the ones that are already there:

There are a couple I will try, 1, 2, & 6.

Like the Loc-line version but difficult to source parts in Canada.

I designed one that is probably similar to all the others out there, and am happy with it. I wish the bristles were longer and softer, but that’s something I can change later if I care enough.

Here’s a picture of the MDF prototype:

And here’s a picture of the final version made out of 1/2" thick red oak (actually 2 pieces of 1/4" red oak glued together). I pulled the bristles out of a $1 brush I got from the hardware store and used wood glue to hold them in place:
