Can anybody tell me why i would need to upgrade to stronger motors on My 1000.
I just upgrades my risers to add 2 more inches and added the 9mm belt kit
Who said you needed larger stepper motors?

Larger motors would allow you to move at higher speeds and make slightly deeper cuts without losing steps when cutting. On my other router which has lead screws, it has 280 in- oz motors and I can only move about 60 ipm comfortably. I’d love to go up to 400 or so on the Y as that is the longest axis. The tradeoff to this is the X carve is more flexible so I would have to think about this if I were to upgrade my X carve. You would need to consider the current needed for your motors as well.
