New Bit Tried from Lowes

I was at Lowe,s yesterday picking up a spare Dewalt DP611 router. It was $99. I took back the old one it was $138 with warranty. I got money back so I bought a 3/16 bit it was 14.99. I am a little bit leery about using 1/4 bit to hog out rough areas. It chips out areas I want to keep. In softer woods. but the 3/16 is a single fluted bit.

Some how, I never have good result with single fluted bit on wood, but my best recommendation is, use single fluted bit for Acrylic/Plexiglas or similar materials.
You can buy 1/4" spiral bit on Home Depot for about same price I always use for cutting/pocketing.
