I have struggled with the dust shoe on this thing. From hitting the wing nuts on the clamps to popping off the cradle and destroying my project to breaking bits etc. I have noticed in the new inventables ads that the dust shoe is different. Does inventables have those for upgrades? Are they better? Has anyone upgraded to the newer version?
My first problem I solved was installing it after I zeroed out. I realized that I could move the z axis up an 1" and then installed the shoe. Currently, I run the shoe so that the brush on the bottom is about 1/4" above my work piece. This way it clears the clamps and t-bolts but still vacuums the waste.
