It was a respectful & argumented opinion about a logo…Where exactly did you derive all that bs from?
I derived it from these two comments you made in previous posts to this thread.
I get your point, but as a graphic designer I have to point out that playing with type for 5 minutes in Word doesn’t really qualify as logo designing.
But please respect those that spent a couple of years learning the craft and don’t call yourself a logo designer just because you spent some time in vector editing software. I don’t call myself a mechanical engineer just because I have a few lego technics sets.
The tone and content of these statements appeared condescending to me. I’d wager Phil felt the same.
- These statements appear to assert a position of authority as a graphic designer.
- Building on the position of authority, they directly put Phils point of view in a place of inferior worth.

Phil is a respected member of the forum. I saw disrespect. I said something. Publicly.
First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Socialist.
Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Trade Unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

and maybe tone down on the curry favoring
an italian cooking recipe aludes to oregano or basil, not curry. can you imagine the horrors of a lasagna with curry?! or maybe not. I’m not a chef. Maybe someone with skill could pull that off!! I don’t see how my reply was spicy or aggressive (assuming that’s what’s was meant by curry flavoring). I fully admit to being strongly defensive of Phil. I’d be happy to hear how you think it was ‘curry-ful’.
