Newbie software question about exporting into Easel

Hey all,

I’m looking at buying a 1000x1000 X-Carve soon, but was wondering about the “import” process for Easel. CNC and that entire workflow is new to me, but 3D modeling isn’t.

If I’m using Fusion 360 and design something that is more complicated than what Easel can do on its own, if I export that into [the free version of] Easel, do you hit any roadblocks where it can’t handle what you’re asking it to do?

I guess what I’m asking is, in that scenario, will Easel just act as a ‘passthrough’ from your initial design to the X-Carve?

I’m also trying to figure out if I should purchase Easel Pro bundled with the X-Carve. I’d rather spend that $$ on hardware.

I have so many questions that I know I’ll be able to answer once I have the X-Carve in my grubby little hands…

Thanks!
Jim

Since you are using Fusion 360 as your design software you don’t even need to use Easel unless you want to.

Fusion 360 will produce G-code that you can send to the X-carve with a variety of free and paid G-code senders.
