NEWBIE: wanting to do shelf sitter words

I have a friend that wants me to do a callighphy/cursive word cut out as a shelf sitter for her daughters wedding.

I designed and brought in as an svg. I cannot for the life of me figure out what option to choose as far as on path, outside path etc etc…

can someone guide me for this. Thanks.

For these I use v bit as pocket cut type and do the text.
Then make a offset for the perimeter and add a rectangle to the bottom with radiused corners and use the combine function to attach to the word outline and cut that outside the path with an endmill

I’m not positive I understand what you mean by a shelf sitter though.
