For other relative beginners such as myself, Cut2D Desktop ($149) combined with the g-code sending feature in Easel has been working great for me. Cut2D Desktop has all the CAD/CAM features that I need including importing parts from other CAD programs (including Sketchup which I use frequently) and Easel has been a foolproof way to send to the X-carve. For reference, I’m not doing arts and crafts type projects, just cutting out of basic shapes and other simple engineered parts. Thanks for the new feature.
