I only have one decent laptop that I don’t want leave sucking up dust next to my x-carve during it working. I dont mind doing the initial designing on it but don’t want to leave it on during a job. I have a raspberry pi 3 and an old monitor, what are my best options?
I have been buying old Dell laptops for around 100 dollars shipped. They usually have windows 7 or 10 on them. That seems to work well for me with the x carve and UGS. The only issue is when windows wants to do an update in the middle of a carve. I’ve turned off the internet when I work and if the updates need to get done, I let them when I’m not working. I stick it under the Xcarve table when it’s working to keep chips out of it.
