I recently purchased what was all sold as pewter.
The ingots came with three different labels - “Pewter”, “65% T” and “10% T”.
Visually they all look the same.
Hoping someone can tell me the difference.
Thank you!!
The main ingredient in modern pewter is Tin. The 65% T is 65% Tin and there are typically other metals like bismuth.
Low Tin Pewters typically substitute Lead which gives it lower cost and that bluish tint that your photo shows.
