Why is it that when I pause picsender and come back the next day I receive an error that PicSender has lost connection with Gbrl. and I need to quit and restart. Everything is on battery backup, I thought that would help but it did not. What else can I do to prevent this. I was 35% complete on a 51 hour carve. I do not know how to divide this carve up into smaller carves. Do I need to use another program besides Piicsender? If so what program would that be? Someone please point me in the right direction.
It’s possible that there is a problem in PicSender, but if so, very unlikely.
What you are experiencing is most likely a USB disconnect which, unfortunately, is very common occurrence.
Things to look for are settings that allow your computer to shutdown devices when they are not active. Not only the devices, but the USB hubs on your system.
Some people find that their USB cable is at fault.
Use the search function to locate threads that speak to disconnect issues.

Thanks Larry, I turned off everything that the laptop could put to sleep. Lets see if that works.
