Whenever I use the puzzle generator, after the cut the puzzle doesn’t fit together. There is always a hugh space between the pieces. I’ve tried using a very small bit but they keep breaking. Doesn’t anyone have a recommendation on the proper size of bit to use?
Have you really tried to dial in your grbl settings? If not, I’d get a good machinist’s scale or a caliper and do so. Try making a square and then measuring it to get an idea of how close you are.
I don’t understand how this would make the puzzle pieces fit together better.
I’ve never used it myself, so checking for accuracy would be my first step. Did you read through this? Not sure it will help put you never know.

Hi Clyde,
I’ve used a 1/16" bit to do this in the past. Make sure all cutouts are “outside shape path” cuts.
Doing so…how tight are your pieces fitting, Martin?
I have the same problem and I believe it is due to the path running down each side of the line, making the cut larger than you want.
I have posted this problem recently but have yet to see a solution.
It happens with all my carving, whether it’s line drawing or text.
Have you ran calibration setting to know what your kerf is? I haven’t tried it with puzzles, but I have for fitting boxes. I bet it works the same.
