Question about "Alternative limit switch mounting on Z-axis"

Continuing the discussion from Alternative limit switch mounting on Z-Axis?:

So as to be clear, Alan, it appears that you drilled a hole in the plate and inserted a screw/nut combination that allows the Z-axis to move just enough to trigger the limit switch but which does NOT allow it to move far enough to crush the switch. Is that right?

Any chance that fix will be incorporated into the design of the X-carve?

That’s exactly what it is. Some people saying what about breaking the belt when hitting that screw… Helloo, if it doesn’t hit that screw will hit switch and top plate anyway. Yes it must be some bumping limits on all axises. I only used for Z switch because that is the most common mistake to make.
