Recommendation for Surge Protector

Good Evening,

I have my X-Carve 1000 with Dewalt router, my Shop Vac, and my laptop connected to a Tripp-Lite surge protector. I’ve been using this setup for nearly 6 years, but starting today, the surge protector has begun tripping in the middle of a couple carves.

As for a cause- I think maybe its due in part to increasing the RPM’s on the router, which I had rarely or never done til today.

I think the most practical solution here would be to just replace the surge protector with one that can handle a bit more juice? Does anyone have a recommendation for one?

Thank you,
Kevin

Learned some lessons  Apparently the load increase on the router was the straw that broke the camel’s back. It was a good run while it lasted.

I have some cuts that will cause more amp draw from the router, so the logical and simplest play here is to move the shop vac to a different circuit entirely (it draws around 11 amps by itself). Lesson learned.
