I have an X-Carve and am looking to order another. I would like see if anyone has a schedule of how often parts should be replaced? My previous machine caught on fire because the z axis stopper malfunctioned and drove the dewalt into the table. I would like to see if i can prevent something like this happening again by replacing parts.
The only part I have ever replaced, other than modifying to a larger size, was a failed v-wheel that occurred immediately after I started using my machine in its original size…in 2015… So, keep the machine clean, use Loctite where screws and such might loosen, and regular check your machine.
