I am trying to resize a project. I started by making a shape then adding text. I did this larger than what I wanted for my finished project. Then tried to resize smaller. When I did this only the shape or text would resize.If I lock the object and or the text i can change nothing. what do I need to do
Did you select both objects by scrolling over them at the same time and moving the highlighted items by the corner boxes?

Another quick and easy way to select everything is to use Select-All. You can hit Edit on the toolbar and Select All, or hold down the Ctrl button and press A. This will select everything in your carve and you can resize everything by shrinking the outer bounding box as shown above.
