I constantly have to push bushings and rods back in place while carving?
You can see how the rod is starting to push up Plus all four Bushings fall out or move up.

did you have a little more details? possibly a picture or two so you can get the right help,
the 3018 platform has many variations, some use screws that directly scree into the rod from the bottom to hold that rod in place, OR a set screw from the side to hold it while others may have nothing at all to hold the rod. So you may want to add some sort of screw to hold the Rod, OR adhesive like CA glue to help hold the rod in place. The same for the Linear Bearing, some models use set screws or an adhesive to hold it in place.
