Setting Zero for V-bits

When I’m setting my Zero X and Y coordinates with a V-bit, will it work to set the shaft of the bit to the edge of the respective plane, then offset it by half that width to set the Zero point? Will Easel do the appropriate calculations based on the degree of the V-bit? Thanks much.

If you have entered your bit as 1/2” then Easel will divide that width in half for the center point. So if you set a v-bit outter edge to your workpiece what you will get is a chamfer on the edge of your workpiece. Exactly 1/2 of your v-bit.
