I am having problems with the Gantry going off course. The problem seems to always be on the Y axis.
When manually jogging the gantry, fan turns but the gantry is not gliding smoothly.
So far, we have tightened the belts, Adjusted the current limit switches. looking for more help…
If you move the gantry or other axis’s and the fan starts turning you are moving too fast! I learned to watch the fan when doing this to gauge the speed I could safely push it around. As @RobertCanning says, the best way is with the machine controls, but the reality (for me at least)is that it’s just too easy to do it the other way from time to time.
