Are there roughing bits that can help keep the detail in the carve so that when I use the ball nose for finishing I’m not missing part. Did a carve with the item 6.5 in wide and 8.125 in in height and the detail cam out great because there was room for the 1/8 bit during the roughing . But when i size it down to 4.5 in wide and 6.125 in in height I loose detail in the cross rifles because of the space for the bit. Is there smaller roughing bit that can be used for smaller jobs. Image one is the item scaled down, image 2 is the item lager and you can see the detail in the stock I also did to where you can still see the rough cut and some finished.
