Agreed, really nice. The elephant one looks amazing. Well, they all do but that one in particular for me.
Amazing! What are the techniques of finishing such a things?
I came with the idea some time ago to use a petrol and fire, and make some kind of controlled burns. Did anyone tried if its working?
Those are amazing.
Where do you get those files?
Outstanding!
Wow, really nice!
Excellent! Keep up the good work
No this is just the idea. I never did sculptures.
The idea was to first make a surface of petrol, then in the places when it should be darker use another layer and burn it again. Anyway I never tried if this could work.
Roughing was a .125 endmill and the finishing 1mm ballnose.
The files came from eBay.
The finish is Minwax Finishing Paste wax. The old man is Modern Masters metal effects copper paint and finishing wax.
Thank you all for your kind comments.
Great work. Could you tell me what program you are using to convert your .stl files into G Code so the X-Carve can read the paths?
Thanks
I get the majority my files from eBay.
Import STLs and tool path into Aspire 8.5. Then I used Universal gcode sender to send the through the controller to my X carve.
All except the old man were finished with a 1 mm ballnose. The Old man finished with .0125 ballnose. Thank you for your comments.
Elephant, lion, and fish we’re all finished out with a 1 mm ball nose.
I purchase them from the internet from various locations
Universal G-Code sender
WOW, amazing work. I am just starting so I got a long way to go.
