Spoil board insert tear out

Hello folks,
I use a sacrificial mdf board on top of my original spoil, I mount it down on the corners. I have found that the wood on the spoil board will no longer hold the insert, and is stripped out.
I am looking for suggestions on how to rebuild the holes, and re tap it with a new insert.
Do you have suggestions?
Please let me know.
Thank You in advance.
God Bless,
Martin

I used threaded inserts when I made my first spoil board, they are not very good, they distort the spoilboard. I used tnuts on the spoil board that I am using now, you have to fit them and install them on the underside, so it is a good idea to make a new spoilboard while you still have the old one.

Thank You
