Step Over Help

Good day Inventables Forum

Is there a way to set a different step over for various cuts? I want to hog out a bunch of material with a high step over but have a finishing run with an extremely small step over to reduce the amount of sanding required.

Thanks!

Hey Ken

I’m familiar with adjusting it there. I was looking for a way to set it so it’ll make most passes at high step over and then do two passes, for instance, with a low step over and as a finishing pass. If not currently possible seems like a good add.

Thanks!

You could manually get there but it would require reducing the depth of the design by those 2 passes, doing the high stepover roughing, then increasing the depth of the design and decreasing the stepover and editing the depth per pass such that the depth per pass is the prior depth plus one of the prior depth per pass. This will result in thid final carve happening in 2 passes.

It isnt a simplest process, but it is achievable.

I agree, having a finishing pass option in easel would greatly improve cut quality.
