after installing the belting on the y-axis I moved the gantry by hand to insure it was moving smoothly, however; it was very rough and hard to move. after doing a little bit of trouble shooting I compared all the stepper motors axles for smooth rotating. all motors turned smoothly except for that one in particular. is this a common issue that I can fix from home or will I have to send it back to get replaced? its a NEMA 23 stepper motor
Are the stepper motors connected? If not if the wires are touching it will make for rough movement.
yea two wires were touching! i separated them and it seems to be sliding just fine now. thank you SO much!
