Tried to surface my spoil board yesterday. I get a slight ridge running the router along the X-axis. What is the best way to correct this?
your router isn’t square to your rails.
First level your rails, then your router.

Furthermore you can adjust your router with the slop of the holes where the x axis is mounted to the y axis (loose the bolts a bit and a 90° angle bracket).
