I have a secondhand XCarve (2021+ with Makita) that I just acquired. I trammed it over the weekend and have it well adjusted in both the X and Y direction (within 5/1000ths). However, when I was flattening my spoil board, I am noticing that while the left side is perfectly smooth, the right half is showing unevenness - front edge of the bit is cutting more than the rear edge. To me, that indicates that the beam has a slight twist. I’ve tried loosening the right hand bolts holding the beam and trying to reverse the twist but haven’t seemed to be able to correct it (either because I have no more play in the bolt holes or the beam just won’t twist).
Has anyone else faced this and found a good way to correct it?
