Updated Cabinet Positioning for All Users

We are thrilled to announce a significant update to the design workflow in Easel Cabinetmaker, bringing you enhanced cabinet positioning tools for a more convenient layout process. This update introduces direct cabinet positioning with drag-and-drop, collision avoidance for overlapping cabinets and corner intersections, inline measurement displays for easy reference, and snapping features to quickly align cabinets.

This change will be rolled out to existing users in the week of October 7th.

One major change you’ll notice is that the left mouse button now controls cabinet placement through drag-and-drop, while right-click is used to orbit the camera around the room. This adjustment aims to streamline your design experience and give you more intuitive control over cabinet placement.

Hi Ben,

Thanks for this update. I just built my 1st cabinet with Cabinetmkaer and did not have the best results. The improvements you listed will be great to have access to. Do you know if there is a list of feature available in the pro version vs. the free version? I felt like in beta there were feature that I don’t have access to in the free version, but I could be imagining that. I would like to have my drawers fully enclosed with dados

I look forward to seeing the new features I just bought more plywood for my next cabinet design.

All of the features that were available in the beta are still in the app.
Drawer construction is locking rabbits, and that has been the case since we launched drawers. I’d be happy to discuss more when we do a video chat.
