I have the 750mm X-Carve that I bought in 2017. I have since upgraded it to the newer spec machine (new Z Axis, stiffing plates, belts and stepper motors) with the exception of the spoil board upgrade.
It’s getting very tedious having to run tool paths for guitar necks where it just barely fits at 45 degrees across the bed.
I am considering upgrading the Y axis to 1000mm, keeping the X axis as it is. Seems like the easiest option.
Question is… will the cable runs on the existing machine be long enough to reach?
I was working on the assumption that they will, thinking all I need are the 1000mm aluminium extrusions and some nuts and bolts hardware…
Am I wrong?
Thanks
