I am trying to figure out how to carve the outside border with a 90 degree vbit, but I am not having much luck. When I do a first pass with the vbit and then the final full depth pass with my 1/8 inch bit the bevel edge of the vbit is just removed by the 1/8 inch bit. I am thinking I have to make a vbit path that is smaller than the outside edge but was hoping there was an easier solution. Any advice?
Try setting your V bit to “Cut on the Path” and set your 1/8" bit to “Cut Outside the Path” or maybe set the V bit to Inside the path and the 1/8" to Outside. You’ll have to try it.
