I have had several in incidence were the brush fell out of the shoe.
I came up with a fix that I hope will take care of the problem
I used 4 4x 3/8 screws. Drilled 3/64 holes, counter sunk and added screws.

ca glue will do the trick. also, the brush should float just above the surface of your material
