Hey just wondering if anyone uses vector stock sites? I know there are a couple, but I was hoping if anyone has some experience with this if they could let everyone know what sites are the best! I think having a site that you can get some good vector images from so that you wouldn’t have to start every project from scratch would be great!
i know this is not what you’r asking but i use google images to find what i want and turn them into vectors with inkscape
Try these sites, I must have more on my bookmarks, I’ll find them later. (Coffee didn’t work yet)
THese are great @AlanDavis. Thanks for the research. i wish there were more free 3d files somewhere. Rusty, I work at an advertising agency so we have a subscription to Shutterstock. If you are looking for something specific and really nice, you could check there but would have to pay.
Also this site have lots of plans. Heey, you’re rich Rusty.
This is awesome! I had also started into iOS development, so this is also be great for that!!! Thanks!
I’m not apposed to paying for the vectors, especially if they are quality artwork!
@AlanDavis, you’re the man, thanks for all the resources!
Has any one had any experience with Vector Stock (www.vectorstock.com) ?
I’ve used Inkscape before and wasn’t a big fan. Maybe I have to give another chance!
i hated inkscape with a passion but the more i used it i really started to like it now i use it on my own drawings i put on the computer with the scanner
Another vote for https://thenounproject.com/ really excellent.
If you are after nice symbols/icons to carve also look at http://iconmonstr.com/ SVG or PNG output.
Cheers
Ian
Oh man that’s a great site! I just love minimalist icons!
I can create just about any vectorized file you need. We create vector files for all sorts of shops. We have created a lot for the sign industry and also the new Brother Scan-n-Cut for crafters which use SVG files. I’d be happy to create a test file for you also. Send me a jpg, bmp, tif etc and I’ll create the vector in either, eps, ai, prn, svg, dcs, cgm, dxf, dwg, wmf, fmv, or plt.
Thank for looking… and I can’t wait for my X-Carve to get here.
