Which bit should I use?

Here’s a 3d rendering from vcarve of what I’m working on. As you can see, there will be a lot of levels, a lot of intentional stepdowns. I’d prefer not to have to sand everything and I don’t want to roundover the steps through sanding. What bit should I use? Should this be a downcut bit, maybe, for clean edges?

I was amazed by how clean the top edges of cuts were with a downcut bit. For something like this, I’d say use a downcut bit.

You could also use a mop sander after the fact that removes a bunch of the fuzzies with little effort as it goes on a drill. I use one on my 3D carves and it works well.
