Won't cut my design completely

I am trying to cut may project out, but it doesn’t go all the way through the wood. What am I doing wrong. I am new. I have done about a dozen projects but now I want to cut the design out and I can’t seem to figure it out.

Have you measured the thickness of your material. How are you setting your z zero? Have you calibrated your machine? Also welcome to the forums.

I typically set my work piece to be .03 thicker than it actually is this way I am sure I get all the way through it and get a clean edge on the bottom. Be sure you have done what Wayne has listed.
