Just for fun a made this ring from scraps. It makes a unique design but the wood is brittle layered like this. Anyone with experience with wood hardener, know if that would make much difference in this application? And how would that react with then sealing with an epoxy to waterproof?

Hello, I was looking into Epoxy Impregnated Wood online the other day and your question pops up.
Here is a couple of links that I saved. Check it out. I haven’t try it out yet but it looks like a good way to post process the wood after you work on it. There might be someone around here that had more experience working with Epoxy Wood.
