Okay, tried carving simple sign twice. When looking at preview sign looks as centered on the wood as I can get it, when machine carves it, its almost off the wood on the bottom edge. I’m sure I’m over looking something simple but I need help.

The height of your text is 4.393" . Some fonts adjust for all the characters in the fonts even if you’re not using them. So your text measures bigger than your board and when you home it to the center you have a lot of space on top.
When you select your text you will see the box around it with a lot of space on top.
Best thing to do is take an object and combine it with the letters.

check your X and Y position, ideal position would be .5" . leaving room for hold down if you use’em .
