X-carve cutting aluminum block in 3-D

I am wondering if I can use the x-carve to carve aluminum blocks for molds for soft plastics? If so what bit should I use? Should I spray anything on the aluminum block to ease the cut? I’ve used it to cut thin aluminum but not a block. I’m still a noob so any input would be appreciated. Thanks JJ

There is no reason why you should not be able to, given appropriate feeds & speeds.

Unless you have a mist system or some other coolant system set up, I would probably cut it dry. I am not a fan of using WD-40 as some people are.

Here are quite a few Amana bits to choose from.
