when i set up to have a 1/2" border around the edge of a sign, the right hand border is 3/8" and left side is 5/8"wide.I very carefully see not the centre of my tool is on the bottom left corner to start.
i am using a Longmill 30x30 .
is there some place to adjust setting either in Easel or longmill
The best way to do this is to start in the center of your work piece then everything comes out centered.

Odds are the longmill uses nominal settings for the grbl settings… you can calibrate your own with a simple test and some math…
That said… I would still reccomend Wayne’s method as the slightest mis measurement of the material and you’ll notice that one edge is different than the other, where as using center and the variance is equally split amongst the opposite edges.
