Z axis depth in Easel with Genmitsu

I’m trying to cut a pocket into wood on a Genmitsu 3018 on practically my first project. I set it to cut 18mm and it cuts down 5mm. I’m totally inexperienced with this and code, but am getting the shape I want from x and y axis very precisely. Have no idea what setting may be off.

It is most likely $102 (Z-Axis steps/mm) if the controller is GRBL based.

Is there any way to change that in easel before I move this piece off the tray, do you know?

Sure …
Just go to Machine>Advanced>Machine Inspector
In the Console TextBox type in $102=xxx where “xxx” is the value you need to change $102 to.
