I have my X carve all set up but I can’t get this dang Z axis to respond. I tried switching X and Z, and with the X wires the motor will respond. However, with the Y wires in the X port I get nothing. Does this mean I have a problem with my wiring?
Here are some things that will cause a newly built machine to fail to perform to expectations. Read through this thread to get a feel for what you need to look for when starting up a new machine.
To your direct question I would think that a careful review of the wiring might solve your problem. If not, ask more questions.
Found the potentiometer was a tad off. Adjusted and now works perfectly. Thought id leave this post up in case anyone else has this problem.
