Z-axis steps are off

Hello everyone,

I am a bit at a loss here. For some reason, the increments of my machine’s Z-Axis are wrong.
When I raise the bit 1 cm, it actually raises it 1.8 cm… Any idea what is happening and how to
fix this…?

Hi Rens,

It seems like you selected the wrong rod during the set-up. Not the threaded rod but the one with the belt. Can you give this a try?

Hi Rens,
It sounds like Rens might be on to something. If that is not your issue, you’ll want to check your $102 value and compare to the defaults for your machine (X-Carve?). The final step would be to calibrate the Z steps/mm ($102).

You need to calibrate your machine. It actually very easy to do. Here is a video on how to do it
