In “machine inspector” the “Z probe” signal flashes continuously.
When I make contact it’s okay.
How bad is it?

If I’m not mistaken, a flashing status light on the Z probe indicates that the probe is in “alarm”, which typically means that it isn’t plugged in. It would only be an issue if the probe was plugged in, leads touching, and it did not indicated so on the status (green circle).
