This is stumping me.
I have been using my Xcarve without issue for a couple of years. Today, when I went to start a carve, the Zprove would not register the base plate contact in the final step of the Probe work flow.
I have checked the wiring to make sure nothing is loose. It registers the plug in step when I connect the probe to the socket. This has never been a problem before. Any suggestions?

I’ve replaced the jack on mine, as it was a source of my problem. Also do a continuity test on the probe to the end of the plug.

I believe I had the same thing happen to me. I checked plug to base… it acknowledges it’s plugged in. Clip acknowledges it’s got contact. When I touch base plate to but nothing happens. Reinstalled bit. Start over same thing. When I unplug probe from base it lights up that it has contact.
Maybe try sanding the paint off the nut for the chuck so it makes better contact.
