Another clock face

are you using aspire?

vcarve desk top, Aspire is a little pricey for me.

yes sir lucky you I got vcarve desktop which came with my piranha

I use Vcarve desktop too. Great tool.
Edited and made stuff with simple vectors.
If I need 3d I use Zbrush or Maya

zbrush or maya?

Is there a big difference between boiled linseed oil and tung oil?

In my experience, BLO and TO tend to be clear, which is why I use them only on woods that need no stain to bring out their natural beauty, like walnut. If you check out Danish oil, it has many of the same properties as above, yet come in a spectrum of shades for staining the piece.

Zbrush is a 3d sculpting tool. I can crate 3d objects and export them for use in Vcarve.
Maya is similar however it can do much more.

im downloading may and fusion 360 I’m hoping to get a chance to do some tutorials tonight

how big are your clocks? or should I say whats a good size for one

Some of my products, it’s been a while I’m not carving any. But I did sell about 10 different style. (I’m two months behind again  )

I did the dish on this one. With the flat spot to hols the nut. I have not had a problem with out the flat spot though so I am not sure it is needed. I think the detail works better on a flat surface, I guess I could have gone deeper and used a long shaft mechanism.

Max depth was a bout .25 and that just has clear on it.
