Best way to cut cardboard with X-carve

I wonder is there a knife bit that could cut and make a smooth edge which would have to swivel I guess like on my vinyl cutter machine. Just wonder has anyone cut cardboard?
Would be faster then using a laser cutter if there is a way. I’m not cutting real small things.

get a drag knife these are what you need for cutting cardboard on the machine

If you can justify hundreds of dollars for this, that’s your ticket.

no kidding.

it is expensive but worth the hassle and it will pay for itself if you have the work for it

Just out of curiosity what type of work would use this? Does that thing cut vinyl to?

that knife will cut

cardboard
vinyl
wood
plastic
foam
rubber
cork
leather
paper
etc

hands
fingers
toes
etc

Thanks for the ideas on the drag knife.

I cut coroplast. Nothing too intricate, but it works really nice, and 4’ x 8’ sheets are about 15 bucks.

For cardboard, I would say use a compression bit if you can, for smooth edges. As long as it’s not really small stuff, you should be fine. Try it - whats the worst that could happen? You might waste some scrap cardboard…

You could make one if you have access to a 3d printer:
