Is it possible to cut 2" deep on an X-Carve? (XPS Foam)

Hi everyone.
I’m interested in cutting large foam sculptures, and as I’m using slices, would like to use 2" foam.

Does anyone know if there is enough clearance on the X-Carve?

Also, this bit that Inventables sells is 2,1/4"

How much of the endmill needs to be in the collet? Does anyone have any leads to longer end mills?

Thanks for any suggestions on max depth and appropriate cutting tools.

Paid foam letter project

I got a paid job to make some letters for a conference logo. I used a bit with a 2 inch cutting area and pink foam from Home Depot. The letters were painted and mounted to a metal frame giving them a floating effect. I was able to cut each letter using a 2” depth per pass so the whole letter was cut in one pass. Wow thanks or sharing that cool project!

Quick question: Did you use the same bit I show, and if so, did you only put 1/4" in the collet? Was that OK?

*edit I see now the overall length of that bit is 4"
