Might also be worth checking the PC Power Management for the USB-ports, if it halt after a certain amount of time it may be the USB-port that is put to sleep.
Or if a certain carve halt at the same point may indicate faulty gcode.

I found this thread and have the same question.
For the last couple of months or so, if I am carving a 3d carving prepared in V-carve desktop and adjust the carving speed with the + - controls at the top of the Easel interface, the carve continues for a little while and then stops. Itâs definitely a âsoftwareâ stop, with no indication of overheat or stall. I usually managed to get through the carve, but quite honestly, donât remember what I did to âfixâ the problem.
Today, it happened. I reset and tried again without changing the speed. Again, it carved for a while, but then stops without any error shown.
I then reloaded the gcode file into a new easel project and it is now merrily carving away, well past the points it previously quit.
Would changing the speed with the + - control cause this problem? would it change the project file?
In the meantime, I wonât be using the + - keys!
USB interference.
Have you checked your Dewalt brushes for wear?
Do you run at speed 1?
